Mentors at Thrive & Strive are college students who have recently gone through the college application process and can provide valuable insight and support to high school students preparing for their journey. Since they have firsthand experience, they understand the challenges of applying to college, searching for scholarships, and securing internships, making them well-equipped to guide students.
What Mentors Do:
Offer guidance on the college application process, including essay brainstorming, college essay reviews, and general application support.
Assist students in finding and applying for scholarships and internships, helping them strengthen their applications based on their interests and career goals.
Provide personalized advice and mentorship, sharing their own experiences to help students make informed decisions about college choices, financial aid, and academic pathways.
Work with mentees based on their availability and schedule, ensuring flexibility while still providing meaningful support.
Mentors will be paired with students who need help applying to colleges or who are simply looking for general guidance on their next steps after high school. Whether a student needs detailed essay feedback, assistance with researching colleges, or just someone to offer advice and encouragement, mentors will serve as a valuable resource throughout the process.
